Parikia

Parikia is the capital of Paros. If you arrive by a ferry on our island, this is the settlement where you will disembark. When exploring Parikia, you will see its historical significance. One of the first Christian churches is situated here and it’s called Panagia Ekatontapiliani. The Castle, the historical mansions, the old town and small chapels are a part of the village’s and the island’s legacy. Additionally, Parikia features a large number of taverns, restaurants, shops, bars etc. You will not get bored walking here every night after the sunset.

You should know that there are quite a few interesting and less popular beaches also on the south coast of Paros, like Faragas.

Panagia Ekatontapiliani

This is the most important historical monument of Paros Island. Panagia Ekatontapiliani is one of the first Christian churches in Greece; that is why it is so important to our community. The church is also an inspiration for legends; one of which is its name. Today, Panagia Ekatontapiliani functions normally and as a matter of fact each year, many weddings and baptism are performed here. You can visit this historical location during the day. Additionally, a few meters away behind the church, you will also find the Archaeological Museum of Paros. We recommend a visit here to see the ancient artifacts found in Paros and Antiparos.
